Beer will be more expensive in Autumn
Big brands are looking to raise prices
Krombacher and Veltins, some of the biggest brands in beer, have announced that their beer bottles will be sold with new and higher prices in the following fall already, specifically, the bottled and draft beer.
How much will beer prices rise?
In October 2026, both brands Krombacher & Veltins are expected to raise the prices, but for how much the increase will be for their retail ranges is not certain. The estimation stands at 1EUR more per crate with 20 half-liter bottles.
These increases from Krombacher and Veltins are the first since their increases in the Spring’23 season. Since then, consumers have been benefiting from promotional box deals with 9,99EUR per beer crate in comparison to the individual prices. With the new prices coming in Autumn, the gap between promotional purchases and individual ones will widen further.
It is not yet known if other beer groups such as Radeberger Gruppe in Germany will be following the price trend as the industry is facing higher costs for production.
